COMPANY PROFILE Founded: 1988 PRODUCTS & SERVICES • Golf Course Guides • Professional Tournament Yardage Service • Course Certification • Scorecards and fixtures booklets • General print and graphic design Pro-Guide Publishing and Graphics was formed in 1988 with the primary aim of producing and publishing
golf yardage books which would make the format and methods used on the major world tours available to the ordinary club golfer. Our
work combines our experience in caddying (for European Tour players), mapping, cartography and graphic design. There are two operating principles which are applied to this activity (1) A commitment to providing the highest standard of information i.e. using the approaches, systems
and standards in use in golf's top professional events. These standards to be applied to our course guides produced for the
club golf market (hence the name "Pro-Guide") where even now many alternative yardage books are produced with very poor information. (2) To make supplies of Pro-Guide available to Clubs and Club Professionals in affordable quantites
at competitive unit prices. In tandem with this has been the development of the Pro-Guide Tournament Yardage Service - special
editions produced for Professional events for the PGA. Pro-Guide were the very first people to provide such a service to domestic
PGA events anywhere in Europe. The service has been developed considerably since it began in 1988 with the continual refinement
of systems and the benefit of seventeen years experience in professional events. Being a support service to the PGA Scottish
Region, North Region and Belfry National HQ, Pro-Guide also endeavour to apply the same professional standards of conduct
and reliability to their work that are expected of a body such as the PGA. There are now over 100 "Club Editions" of Pro-Guide and there have been many more "Tournament Editions".
The tournament service provided is now used by the PGA Scottish Region and the PGA North region as well as occasional National
HQ directed events. As the company has developed so has a third operating principle - the conviction that it is fundamentally
important to "put something back". Hence we are proud and committed sponsors of PGA Scottish Region Young Professionals events. |
